The best part of teaching in Casablanca were definitely the kids. I bonded and connected with them in a “siblings-level” rather than just a “teacher-student” level. Every day for 3 weeks, including Saturdays, we taught basic grammar and vocabulary to the students. We showed videos and songs to better enhance their understanding of the material. We gave them assignment and encouraged them to help each other, rather than make fun of each other. We also went on different field trips and playing with the kids while being away from the classroom was the best part. The kids were amazing, well most of them. They were all so sweet and kind to us. The experience is very fulfilling! Even to this day I miss the smiles on those faces.
